WARRIORS HEAD TO
The 2018 UANA Pan American Masters Swimming Championships carded to be held in Orlando, Florida will host more than 1500 registered athletes representing over 37 countries competing in the Open Water, Swimming, Water Polo, Diving and Synchronize Swimming. The swimming, water polo, diving and synchronize swimming would take place at the YMCA Aquatic Centre and the open water would take place at Daytona Beach.
The two swimmers from the Tobago YMCA Aqua Warriors that were selected for the team were, Tobago YMCA Aqua Warriors asst. coach, national swimmer and recently appointed Goodwill 2018 national assistant coach, Rochelle Pierre and Tobago YMCA Aqua Warriors head coach, national swimmer and national appointed Carifta 2018 assistant coach, Mosi Denoon. These two swimmers would join the rest of the team from Trinidad who also qualified to compete in UANA Pan American Masters Swimming Championships from July 23rd – August 4th.
Rochelle Pierre, qualified and would be competing in the 50 meter Butterfly, 50 meter Breaststroke, 50 meter and 100 meter Freestyle event. In addition to that, Pierre would also compete in the Mixed 200 meter Individual Medley Relay and Mixed 200 meter Freestyle Relay.
Mosi Denoon would be competing in the 200-meter, 100-meter and 50-meter Breaststroke events and also the Mixed 200-meter Individual Medley Relay, Mixed 200-meter Freestyle Relay, Men’s 200-meter Individual Medley Relay and the Men’s 200-meter Freestyle Relay.
The national team heading to Orlando comprising of 12 members would head to Orlando on July 23rd for the commencement of the games.
