PIERRE CLAIMS SILVER AT PAN-AM CHAMPIONSHIPS IN ORLANDO

The recently concluded 2018 UANA Pan American Masters Swimming Championships held in Orlando, Florida which hosted over 1500 athletes representing over 37 countries ended on August 4th, 2018.

 

Tobago YMCA Aqua Warrior Rochelle Pierre claimed a Silver Medal in the 50-meter Butterfly event clocking a personal best time of 32.65 behind winner Lisiane Destro of Brazil (29.00). Pierre continued to fight valiantly at the championships and placed 5th in 50-meter Breaststroke and 50-meter Freestyle and 8th in the 100-meter Freestyle. The mixed relay time consisting of Rochelle Pierre, Debra Neville, Curtis Harper and Anton Gopaulsingh placed 5th in the mixed 200-meter freestyle relay and 8th in the mixed 200-meter medley relay.

 

Teammate Mosi Denoon though not making any podium spots also fought honourable at the championships placing 9th in the 50 meter and 200-meter Breaststroke and 11th in the 100-meter Breaststroke. The relay team consisting of Mosi Denoon, Curtis Harper, Raul Vieira and Adrian Mike competed in the Men’s 200-meter Freestyle Relay and placed 12th. The Men’s 200-meter Medley Relay consisting of Mosi Denoon, Anton Gopaulsingh, Curtis Harper and Adrian Mike placed 7th overall in the before mentioned relay.
