The UANA Swimming Cup 2020 which spanned over three days of highly intensive competition ran from the 21st – 23rd February, 2020 at the at the Videna Aquatic Complex in Lima, Peru. The swimming cup hosted 450 swimmers from North America, Central America, South America and the Caribbean Islands competing in the age groups 11-12, 13-14, and 15-17 in a variety of distance and stroke events.
The 2020 edition of the UANA Swimming Cup is set to take place from 21st – 23rd February, at the Videna Aquatic Complex in Lima, Peru. The swimming cup will host 41 countries from North America, Central America and South America, Canada and the Caribbean Islands.
The ASATT National Age Group Long Course Championships which was held from 12th – 16th February 2020 at the National Aquatic Centre in Balmain, Couva was a CARIFTA, CCCAN and an Olympic Qualifying event. The Aqua Warriors contingent for the championships comprised of National swimmers Ornella Walker and Jacob Cox with their teammate John Procope all under the tutelage of newly appointed National Head Coach Mosi Denoon.
The Tobago YMCA Aqua Warriors competed at the recently concluded ASATT International Invitational Swimming Championships which was held over the last four days from the 11th – 14th December 2019 at the National Aquatic Centre in Balmain, Couva. The Championships hosted over 500 swimmers representing 31 swim clubs from across the Caribbean.
8 members from the Tobago YMCA Aqua Warriors journeyed to Point Fortin to compete in the Primary School Swimming Invitationals held at the Point Fortin Borough Community Swimming Pool on Sunday 24th November, 2019. The team returned with 11 medals (4 Gold medals, 4 Silver medals, 3 Bronze medals) and an overall 3rd place trophy.
