The Tobago YMCA Aqua Warriors with a swim team contingent of ten swimmers all representing their respect schools competed impressively at the Atlantis Aquatics Swim Club Primary School Swim Meet which took place at the National Aquatic Center in Balmian, Couva on Sunday 5th May, 2019. The swim meet hosted over 50 schools from across Trinidad and Tobago and over 250 participants.

 

The team of Ten from the Aqua Warriors that represented Tobago were, Jacob Cox of Bon Accord Government Primary School, Makalya Olliverre and Sebastian Winter-Roach from the Buccoo Government Primary School, Israel Jordan and Kai Caruth of Lambeau Anglican Primary School, Seanheim Alleyne of Signal Hill Primary School and Tiana Peterkin, Tamia Peterkin, Sydney Sandy and Malique Young from the Scarborough RC School. The majority of swimmers participating from the contingent were first timers to the world of competition.

 

From the Team of Ten, Isreal Jordon from Lambeau Anglican Primary School was the top performer claiming an Overall first place High Point Trophy and 4 medals in the 8-9 Age Group Category. He claimed a Gold in the 25m Freestyle event, Silver in the 25m Breaststroke event, Bronze in the 25m Backstroke event and Butterfly event.

 

A Special Mention must be given to teammate Malique Young from Scarborough RC as he claimed a Gold Medal in the 25m Breaststroke event at the Primary School Swim Meet.
