The Tobago YMCA Aqua Warriors held their first fundraiser for the 2019 season with health awareness as their main focus. The Aqua Warriors Aerobic Burnout Vol II which hosted a wide range of different age groups was held on Saturday 09th February, 2019 at the YMCA Facility from 4:00 pm.
Amongst the many competitors being instructed by Xtream Fitness owner Donneal Vincent and colleagues Dr. Kevon Forde, Simoy Joefield and Peter Dumas, only four participants were selected as winners in Aerobic Burnout categories.
The Aerobic Burnout 2019 saw the support of former National Netballer Ashelle Legall, National Goodwill Swim Coach and Pan-American Swimming Champion 2018 Silver Medalist Rochelle Pierre and recent 2018 THA Primary School Female Student Athlete of The Year, Q-Jhea Stewart.
After the intense Aerobic Burnout which lasted a total of 1.5 hours, the winners in their categories are as follows:
OVERALL AEROBIC BURNOUT WINNER - Reanne Lindsay
SENIOR AEROBIC BURNOUT WINNER - Noko Baird
JUNIOR AEROBIC BURNOUT WINNER - Q-Jhea Stewart
WACKIEST DRESSED AEROBIC BURNOUT WINNER - Cherysh Neptune
This fundraiser and the many upcoming fundraisers are in aid to raise funds to held with the daily operations of the club and attend local, national, regional and international swimming championships. The local swim team recently got invited by the Antigua & Barbuda Swimming Federation to compete at their annual ABSF 6th Club Invitational this October 2019 in Antigua & Barbuda.
